Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the frozen blueberries, 4 cups of water, organic raw sugar, and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Bring this mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat and take a potato masher to gently smash the blueberries further, releasing more juices. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl.
- In a separate heat-resistant pitcher, bring 6 cups of filtered water to a boil. Allow the boiling water to cool for a minute before pouring it over 6 green tea bags. Steep for 3 minutes and then remove the tea bags.
- In the large pitcher with brewed tea, add the strained blueberry juice and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Stir thoroughly and taste to adjust sweetness if needed. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- To serve, pour the chilled blueberry-lemon iced tea into tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.
