Cooking Instructions

  4. Gently add the frozen shredded hash browns, careful not to mash them; keep them fluffy.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Mix crushed cornflakes or buttery crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Bake uncovered for 45-55 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley, sliced green onions, or extra cheese if desired.
