Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic, stirring constantly for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and light golden brown.
  3. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper, and a pinch of salt into the skillet. Stir for 1 minute until it forms a paste.
  4. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of half & half, stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and bubbles.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt or pepper as needed. Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese for a richer flavor, if desired.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using or store in the fridge for later.
