Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Thinly slice the English cucumber to about 2mm and sprinkle with salt. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  2. Combine sour cream, white vinegar, sugar, dill, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth and refrigerate.
  3. Finely chop the red onion and add to a large salad bowl.
  4. Rinse the cucumbers under cold water and pat dry. Add to the salad bowl and pour dressing over. Toss until coated.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes before serving for best flavor.
