  • 2 lbs Chicken Wings fresh or thawed frozen
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil can substitute with any neutral oil
For the Spice Rub
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder or garlic salt, reduce added salt
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder or dried onion
  • 2 tsp Paprika smoked paprika for a twist
  • 1 tsp Cumin optional
  • 1 tsp Oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place chicken wings in a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle the spice mix over. Toss until coated.
  3. Let the wings sit for 30 minutes at room temperature, or refrigerate for an hour for better flavor infusion.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the wings in a single layer. Lower oven temperature to 340°F (170°C) and bake for 50–60 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Once crispy, remove from the oven and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
