Method
 

Basic Instructions
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning, then place them in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add the chopped onion, and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the sautéed onion and garlic mixture over the chicken. Sprinkle with smoked paprika and dried oregano, then pour in the chicken broth.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. After cooking, shred the chicken in the pot with two forks, mixing it with the sauce.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and allow to heat through on low for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Serve the dish over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes, and garnish with chopped parsley.
