  • 0.5 cups Sugar adjust quantity to taste and substitute with brown sugar for a deeper flavor profile.
For the Rasgulla
  • 12 pieces Mini Rasgullas can use homemade or store-bought, or substitute regular-sized rasgullas cut into smaller pieces.
For Garnishing
  • Nuts optional, but choose your favorites to enhance the visual appeal.
  • Dried Rose Petals optional, they make your dessert look extra special.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of custard powder with a few tablespoons of warm milk until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, bring 1.5 cups of full-fat milk to a gentle simmer. Stir in 0.5 cups of sugar until fully dissolved.
  3. Slowly pour the custard mixture into the simmering milk while stirring continuously. Keep stirring for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Gently squeeze the mini rasgullas to remove excess syrup and set aside some for garnishing.
  6. Fold the squeezed rasgullas into the cooled custard mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  7. Garnish with reserved rasgullas, nuts, and dried rose petals before serving.
