  • 0.5 unit Red Onion Thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan Cheese Grated
For the Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil or avocado oil
  • 1 unit Lemon Juice and Zest Fresh
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup for vegan
  • 1 pinch Crushed Red Pepper Flakes Adjust to taste

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice and zest, honey, salt and pepper until well combined.
  2. Rinse and dry the romaine lettuce, then chop and place it in a large salad bowl.
  3. Thinly slice half of a red onion and add it to the bowl of romaine lettuce.
  4. Grate half a cup of fresh parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the lettuce mixture.
  5. Sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  6. Drizzle the lemon dressing over the salad and toss until well coated.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan if desired.
