Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of powdered sugar. Use a hand mixer to beat the mixture on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the filling is smooth and creamy.
  2. Take two slices of your favorite thick bread and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese filling onto one slice. Add fresh, sliced strawberries over the cream cheese, then drizzle 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam on top. Position the second slice of bread over the jam and gently press down to seal the sandwich.
  3. In a shallow dish, whisk together 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of milk until well combined. Dip each assembled sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are thoroughly coated.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Carefully place the coated sandwiches into the skillet, cooking them for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Once your sandwiches are golden and crispy, remove them from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain any excess butter. Lightly dust with powdered sugar before serving.
