Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 24 cookies Golden Oreo cookies or regular Oreos for a chocolatey twist
  • 1/2 cup Salted butter or unsalted butter if preferred
For the Filling
  • 3.4 ounces Instant lemon pudding mix can use cook and serve pudding for a richer taste
  • 2 cups Milk any type including non-dairy
  • 1 cup Cool Whip or fresh whipped cream
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese softened for easy blending
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar adjust according to sweetness preference
For the Topping
  • 3/4 cup Reserved crushed Oreos for added crunch

Method
 

Crust Preparation
  1. Crush 24 Golden Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, reserving 3/4 cup for topping. Combine with 1/2 cup of melted salted butter and mix until moistened. Press into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Pudding Layer
  1. Whisk together 3.4 ounces of instant lemon pudding mix with 2 cups of cold milk until smooth. Let sit for 5 minutes, then spread over the crust.
Cream Cheese Layer
  1. Blend 8 ounces of softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in 1 cup of powdered sugar, then fold in 1 cup of Cool Whip. Spread over the lemon pudding layer.
Assembly
  1. Pour the thickened lemon pudding over the cream cheese layer, dollop remaining Cool Whip on top and spread gently. Sprinkle reserved crushed Oreos on top.
Chill
  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Slice into squares to serve.
