  • 1 medium Onion chopped finely
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 medium Potatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated, optional
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • to taste Salt and Pepper for seasoning
  • 1 cup Beef Broth or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup Milk optional for creaminess

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and add ground beef, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft.
  4. Layer the cooked beef mixture in the greased baking dish. Top with sliced potatoes and season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
  5. Sprinkle cheddar and Parmesan cheese over layers. Pour beef broth around edges and drizzle milk if desired.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
