  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice Can substitute with lemon juice.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; garlic powder can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger Ground ginger can also work.
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha Optional for a spicy kick.
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro Optional; parsley can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 pieces Lime wedges For serving.

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • small saucepan
  • Spatula

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by gently patting your fresh salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. On both sides, sprinkle salt and black pepper to enhance the natural flavor.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine fresh pineapple chunks, honey, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sriracha (if using). Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until the glaze thickens.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets skin-side down and let them cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Carefully flip the fillets using a spatula. Brush the tops with your warm pineapple glaze and reduce the heat to medium, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until they’re opaque and flaky.
  5. Take off the heat and spoon any remaining glaze over the salmon. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
