  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch or potato starch
For the Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Powder or fresh finely grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder or fresh finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp Salt kosher for texture
  • 1 tsp White Pepper or black pepper
For the Heat
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
For Cooking and Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4 tbsp Butter unsalted, or coconut oil for dairy-free
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup for vegan
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha Sauce or your favorite hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper optional
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss the wings with baking powder, cornstarch, garlic powder, ginger powder, onion powder, salt, white pepper, cayenne, and smoked paprika.
  3. Allow wings to marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and arrange on a wire rack over a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, turning halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  6. In a saucepan, melt butter, then stir in crushed red pepper, cayenne, honey, sriracha, and sea salt; simmer until thickened.
  7. Brush wings with the hot honey sauce in the last 5 minutes of baking; broil for extra caramelization if desired.
  8. Toss wings in remaining sauce and serve immediately with dipping sauces.
