  • 1/4 cup butter melted; coconut oil for dairy-free

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream or coconut cream for dairy-free
  • 2 tablespoons sugar adjust based on preference
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk optional but highly recommended

Method
 

Making Donuts
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together lukewarm milk, large egg, and melted butter until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, and instant yeast using a whisk.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and roll it to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut out donuts using a round cutter and place on parchment paper.
  7. Heat vegetable oil to 170-180°C in a deep pan.
  8. Fry donuts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Filling Donuts
  1. Whip heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form.
  2. Slice cooled donuts in half horizontally and spread condensed milk if desired.
  3. Fill each donut with whipped cream and dust with powdered sugar.
