Method
 

Banana Bread Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash 3-4 ripe bananas until smooth, then mix in ¾ cup of sugar, ½ cup of melted butter, and 2 beaten eggs until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. If desired, gently fold in ½ cup of chopped nuts for added texture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
