Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. Cream together softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  3. Incorporate eggs one at a time, then mix in honey and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, lavender, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
  6. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Beat together softened butter and powdered sugar, then add honey, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  10. Frost cooled cupcakes and garnish with dried lavender petals if desired.
