  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour the heavy-duty metal pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely in the pan before frosting.
Frosting
  1. In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled spice cake.
