Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, sauté 1 pound of ground beef and 1 pound of Italian sausage with a chopped onion for 7-10 minutes.
- Drain excess fat, then add 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 jar of marinara sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a large pot, cook 12 lasagna noodles for 2 minutes less than package instructions, then lay flat to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups cottage cheese, 1 beaten egg, 0.5 cup Parmesan, dried parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Layer the baking dish starting with meat sauce, noodles, half of the cottage cheese mixture, more noodles, more meat sauce, remaining cottage cheese, noodles, remaining sauce, and top with mozzarella and Swiss cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Allow the lasagna to rest for easier slicing. Can be made ahead and refrigerated. Best if consumed within 3 days, but can be frozen for up to 3 months.
