Ingredients

For the Tea Base
  • 4 cups water Use fresh, filtered water for the best flavor.
  • 2-3 bags tea bags (black or green) Herbal teas can be used for a caffeine-free option.
For the Sweetness
  • sugar or sweetener/honey Adjust according to taste; maple syrup can be a delicious natural alternative.
For the Fruity Flavor
  • 1 mango Fresh mango is ideal, but frozen can work in a pinch.
  • 2 peaches Use fresh peaches for the best flavor, canned peaches can be a suitable backup.
For Serving
  • ice cubes Essential for that chilled, refreshing drink.
  • mint leaves Garnish to add a burst of color and aroma; fresh mint works best.

Equipment

  • medium-sized pot
  • teapot
  • Blender
  • Large pitcher
  • Fine Mesh Sieve

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Peach Mango Tea
  1. Begin by bringing 4 cups of fresh, filtered water to a rolling boil in a medium-sized pot over high heat. Once boiling, carefully pour the water into a teapot to allow for steeping the tea.
  2. Add 2-3 tea bags (black or green) to the hot water in the teapot. Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes, or until it reaches your desired strength. Remove the tea bags once it’s a rich amber hue.
  3. While the tea cools, take 1 ripe mango and 2 fresh peaches, then cut them into chunks. Blend the fruit in a blender with ½ cup of water until smooth, and strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp.
  4. Combine the cooled tea with the freshly strained fruit juice in a large pitcher. Add sugar or your preferred sweetener to taste, adjusting to your liking.
  5. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes, then pour the Peach Mango Tea over the ice, adding fresh mint leaves as a garnish.
