Preparation Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 6 oz of strawberry Jello mix with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir thoroughly for about 2 minutes until the Jello is completely dissolved.
- Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator, allowing the Jello to chill for approximately 30 minutes.
- Once the Jello has slightly set, gently fold in 8 oz of Cool Whip into the softened Jello.
- Spray a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray. Pour the Jello-Cool Whip mixture into the pan evenly.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the top layer by mixing 3 oz of strawberry Jello with 1 cup of boiling water; stir until dissolved.
- Once cooled, carefully pour the top Jello mixture over the layered cake in the springform pan. Return the pan to the refrigerator to chill for about 3 hours.
- When fully set, gently remove the sides of the springform pan and slice into wedges.
