  • 2-3 bags Brewed Hibiscus Tea, cooled Brew in boiled water and cool before use
For the Sweetness
  • 1 cup Fresh or frozen pineapple chunks Ensure frozen is unsweetened
For Hydration
  • 1/2 cup Coconut water May substitute with regular water
For Zing
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice Or use 1/2 lemon
For Frostiness
  • 1 cup Ice cubes Can swap for frozen fruits
Optional Garnish
  • to taste Fresh mint, basil, or sage Any can be used interchangeably

Method
 

Steps
  1. Prepare the Hibiscus Tea by brewing the hibiscus flowers in boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Cool the tea completely in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
  2. Combine 3/4 cup of cooled hibiscus tea, a generous handful of pineapple chunks, and 1/2 cup of coconut water in a blender.
  3. Add a handful of ice cubes and blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust the flavor by adding more lime juice or pineapple if needed.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass, optionally layering a splash of reserved hibiscus tea on top.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and a pineapple slice before serving.
