  • 1 pound beef sirloin thinly sliced
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce can substitute with coconut aminos
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated or minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional for thickening
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the beef dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and ginger.
  3. If using cornstarch, mix it with a small amount of water and add to the sauce.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef to the skillet in batches, cooking until browned.
  3. Pour the sauce over the beef, reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
