Ingredients
  

For the Calamari
  • 1 pound Calamari/Squid can use frozen calamari if fresh is not available
For the Butter Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) or substitute with 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter for making the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce adjust based on heat preference; Frank's Hot Sauce recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning start with 1/2 teaspoon to avoid excessive salt
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice fresh lemon juice is preferred
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Avocado Oil or substitute with another high-heat oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the calamari under cold water, remove any grit, and pat it dry with paper towels. Lightly season with salt.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in Cajun seasoning, hot sauce, and fresh lemon juice.
  4. Return the pan to medium-low heat and melt the remaining unsalted butter, clarifying it by skimming off solids.
  5. Increase heat to medium-high, add avocado oil, and sauté the calamari in batches for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle the buttery Cajun sauce over the calamari and serve immediately.
