  • 1/2 cup Water can also use vegetable broth for added flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce substitute with soy sauce for a gluten-free option
For the Main
  • 1 pound Large Shrimp (peeled and deveined) can substitute with chicken or firm tofu
  • to taste Tabasco Sauce optional based on your spice tolerance
  • to taste Salt essential seasoning
  • to taste Black Pepper essential seasoning
For Garnish
  • to taste Chopped Fresh Parsley omit for a low-maintenance finish
  • to taste Lemon Wedges highly recommended for serving

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat canola oil and butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, add chopped onion, diced green bell pepper, and chopped celery. Cook until softened, about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic, Cajun/Creole seasoning, dried thyme, cayenne pepper, and bay leaf. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add tomato sauce, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to boil, then reduce to simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Fold in large shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes until shrimp are pink and firm.
  5. Adjust seasoning with Tabasco, salt, and pepper. Remove bay leaf before serving. Garnish with parsley and serve over cooked rice with lemon wedges.
