- In a large skillet, heat canola oil and butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, add chopped onion, diced green bell pepper, and chopped celery. Cook until softened, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic, Cajun/Creole seasoning, dried thyme, cayenne pepper, and bay leaf. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add tomato sauce, water, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to boil, then reduce to simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- Fold in large shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes until shrimp are pink and firm.
- Adjust seasoning with Tabasco, salt, and pepper. Remove bay leaf before serving. Garnish with parsley and serve over cooked rice with lemon wedges.
