Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and prepare the cake mix as per package instructions.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan for around 30 minutes, then crumble into fine crumbs.
  3. Mix in approximately ¾ cup of strawberry frosting until the mixture holds together like dough. Adjust with more frosting if needed.
  4. Portion out 1-2 tablespoon amounts into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the pink candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, adding coconut oil if necessary for a smooth consistency.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted pink coating and place them back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Before the coating sets, sprinkle with freeze-dried strawberries or sprinkles for decoration.
  8. Melt the white chocolate or candy melts and drizzle over the truffles after the pink coating has set.
