Preparation Steps
- Brew the Green Tea: Start by bringing 2 cups of filtered water to just below boiling, around 175°F (80°C). Steep 2 green tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose leaf green tea in the hot water for 3 minutes. If you choose, whisk in 1 teaspoon of matcha powder for added flavor. After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the mixture cool to room temperature or refrigerate to chill quickly.
- Prepare the Tropical Mix: While the tea cools, peel and chop 1 ripe mango and drain the pineapple bits if canned. Blend the mango pieces and pineapple until smooth. In a large pitcher, combine 1/2 cup of coconut water with this fruity blend and stir well.
- Pour into Glasses: Fill each glass with ice cubes. Pour the prepared coconut-mango-pineapple mixture into the glasses, filling them about 2/3 of the way full, then add the cooled green tea.
- Garnish and Serve: Top each glass with a slice of pineapple on the rim. Serve immediately for the best experience.
