Equipment

  • Pitcher
  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Tea kettle

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Brew the Green Tea: Start by bringing 2 cups of filtered water to just below boiling, around 175°F (80°C). Steep 2 green tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose leaf green tea in the hot water for 3 minutes. If you choose, whisk in 1 teaspoon of matcha powder for added flavor. After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the mixture cool to room temperature or refrigerate to chill quickly.
  2. Prepare the Tropical Mix: While the tea cools, peel and chop 1 ripe mango and drain the pineapple bits if canned. Blend the mango pieces and pineapple until smooth. In a large pitcher, combine 1/2 cup of coconut water with this fruity blend and stir well.
  3. Pour into Glasses: Fill each glass with ice cubes. Pour the prepared coconut-mango-pineapple mixture into the glasses, filling them about 2/3 of the way full, then add the cooled green tea.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Top each glass with a slice of pineapple on the rim. Serve immediately for the best experience.
