  1. In a large plastic bag, combine the dry onion soup mix with paprika. Add the beef stew meat, sealing the bag and shaking it to coat each piece evenly.
  2. Lightly grease your 7-quart crock pot. Spread the seasoned beef evenly across the bottom.
  3. Layer the diced medium potatoes, baby carrots, and chopped yellow onion over the beef in the crock pot.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of celery soup and ketchup until smooth. Pour this over the layered ingredients in the crock pot.
  5. Securely cover the crock pot with its lid and cook on low heat for 7 to 8 hours.
  6. Once cooked, stir the ingredients gently to combine. Serve hot.
